Join our friends with the National Forest Foundation, Salmon Valley Stewardship, the U.S. Forest Service and the Environmental Resource Center as we welcome aspen expert, Paul Rogers of the Western Aspen Alliance. He will give a fun and informative presentation on local Aspen ecology 101 and then have the option for a field day. You’ll walk away from this presentation with a whole new appreciation for aspen stands!

Aspen Field Day
Monday, July 22nd from 9:00am to 2:00pm
Spend a day in the field exploring aspen stands, discussing aspen ecology, the importance to wildlife and the role that wildfire plays for this species. We’ll also be introducing a new community aspen monitoring program and providing details on how you can get involved. Some light hiking will be required to get to aspen stands.
Meet at the Ketchum Park and Ride at 9:00am.
