Pocatello — Our Energy Future: Strategies to Reduce the Municipal Carbon Footprint

Across the nation, cities are taking action to reduce their carbon emissions for their citizen’s well-being, for their economic security and for their futures. League of Women Voters, Portneuf Resource Council and several other southeast Idaho organizations are pleased to present an educational forum on practical strategies to reduce our local municipal carbon emissions.

The forum will provide insight and generate ideas for possible next steps from the experiences of our neighbors. There are many strategies to reduce city emissions, from a net-zero approach, to a commitment to 100% renewable energy, to greenhouse gas emissions reduction. This event is an opportunity to learn from neighboring cities and begin working toward specific goals for a sustainable energy future.
