Get to know your backyard as the Foothills Learning Center and ICL team up to offer an exciting year-long adventure series, Tour of the Reserves. Some months will include short hikes, while others will include walking presentations and historical stories.
This event features Castle Rock Reserve. After a short walk, we will hear a little about the amazing history, Native American significance, and features of Castle Rock.
The city of Boise’s foothills open space includes 11 reserves. In total, the city manages roughly 4,000 acres and 40 miles of trails within its reserves, all differing in elevation and accessibility. The reserve ecosystems include riparian habitat, grassland and alpine forests, and they are home to creatures large and small.
Registration required. Contact Lana to reserve your spot and get information about our meeting place.
